Together with my team, we conduct interdisciplinary research across the computing stack From general-purpose to application-specific such as accelerators for machine learning, image processing, and smart healthcare.

Active Areas:

  • Memory-Centric Computing: Especially using emerging memory technologies, such as memristors
  • Approximate Computing: On CMOS and emerging technologies, accelerators to systems
  • Embedded Systems: On chip (system-on-chip) or on board, cyber or cyber-physical

Applications:

  • Smart Healthcare: Especially wearable systems for physical and psychological health
  • Machine Learning: As an end application (its acceleration) and a tool (for healthcare and beyond)
  • Image Processing: Acceleration of various kernels, as well as performance and efficiency improvement.
